Leave your past behind

Hey you lovely people. The title gives an image of a post that would contain ramblings. But it’s an outfit post with a few ramblings ofcourse. This is my first post featuring pictures from my Malaysian vacation in September. My friend gave me a very good advice while I was leaving for the trip. She said leave your past in Malaysia when you return. This is the best advice anyone has ever given me. That’s what vacations are about right? To leave behind the past and come back with new and exciting memories and experiences.

So my last stop before we left Malaysia was a visit to this beautiful place built to look like it’s France. It’s built in the outskirts of the country at the hills. It’s near Genting Highlands. My love for France is eternal, and while me actually going to France is a distant dream, this was more than enough for me. The place was beautiful with pavements and cafes and parisian windows. Oh I had the yummiest chocolate tart ever. There’s a pic below. It’s a really beautiful place and a must visit. Do not, do not come back without going to this place if ever you go to Malaysia. I wore my AND by Anita Dongre tunic as a Cape. I dint even know I was going to this place and my outfit was just apt for it. So yay! Have a look.

Ink blue

Here I am down with cold and super irritated because of it. I was browsing few sites and blogs and that was irritating as well. Hence I thought why not divert myself and actually do something productive like blogging! And I must say im loving it, until I have to add something or add an attachment and don’t get the hang of it cos well I’m technically handicapped!
Anywhoo, three months back I was in Banglore at the phoenix mall with no intention to shop( ya let’s see how that worked!) But entered the AND store. And the moment I entered the store I loved almost everything. But what I loved the most was this ink blue tunic. It looks like a shirt from the front but like a maxi from behind. This is not something very new but I knew I had to buy it! In theory it’s not the best thing to wear considering my body type. But sometimes you have to ditch the rules and just wear whatever the hell you want.
A few pointers for the curvy girl(and by curvy I mean pear shaped):
1. Choose black bottoms! Be it jeans, leggings or jeggings. This would hide your problem area as well as doesn’t take away attention from the beautiful tunic.
2. As its flowy, your bottom half should be tight to give proper symmetry.
3. This tunic itself is a statement piece, hence keep rest of the look minimal.
4. Wear heels! Period.
5. Smile and be confident. You are looking sexy and fashionable.
I hope these pointers help you.
I wore the tunic with black leggings from mango and black sandals and stone earrings of the same colour. I let the tunic speak.
My make up included light black and silver smokey eyes, winged eyeliner and red lips.
